Project Goals
The Zero Weight Project goal is to upgrade all the different parts of my vehicle, performance, handling, quietness and stereo sound without increasing the weight of the vehicle. This project is designed to be a daily driver. No elimination of important goodies like AC or interior carpet.
The plan will focus on three different parts.
- Reduce weight by upgrading or removing parts of the vehicle.
- Build a lightweight high-performance stereo
- Make the car quieter, more comfortable and improve the stereo sound with a lightweight Dynamat install.
This is really a search for high-performance lightweight products. Too often, we are told we can have higher performance with a weight penalty or lightweight but lose creature comforts. I think, it is possible to have both. This project will track both the weight as well as the performance improvement.
